AFTER A GORGEOUS WEEKEND, WARMTH AND HUMIDITY BUILD ANEW NEXT WEEK...

An interesting overall weather pattern will take shape next week. A relaxation of the jet stream combined with some warmth from both Canada and the southern states will give us an increasingly warm an humid feel around here; something that's been pretty absent for a better part of three weeks.

Temps will steadily increase each day; a good shot at hitting 90 in the city exists Wednesday-Friday, especially in the urban locales.

Aside for a slight chance of a stray shower Monday night, rain chances will be hard to come by the next seven days. Cloud cover will be at a minimum, with the exception of Monday afternoon and night.

Most areas got between a half an inch to an inch of precip on Tuesday. Southern Jersey and north and west of town got the most (as per the norm for this summer).

TROPICS: two features to watch.

The disturbance in the Caribbean should drift north towards the eastern Gulf Coast with heavy rains and some tropical storm conditions by late in the weekend.

Tropical Storm Erin will have a tough time maintaining herself, as she traverses the Atlantic with a lot of mid-level dry air in her way.
