THIS WEEK'S WEATHER HIGHLIGHTS

1. Scattered Showers Monday, especially east of NYC. Stubborn storm system to our north is the culprit, sending pieces of weak energy through the region. Aforementioned storm system begins to pull further north Tuesday and Wednesday into the North Atlantic, setting the stage for dry conditions after Monday, with increased warming during the day.

2.  Coastal storm develops to our south, but it appears to only graze the area on Thursday with some showers in the afternoon. Areas south of NYC look to stand the best chance at any measurable rainfall.

3. Pleasant weekend ahead, with temps in the mid-to-upper 60s. Strong signs in the long term suggest major warmth develops by mid-to-late next week over much of the eastern U.S.
