A SATURDAY NIGHT SOAKING, THEN A HINT OF FALL

PREDICTABILITY OF FORECAST PERIOD-HIGH

After a warm, dry Friday, clouds will filter in Saturday as a storm system intensifies over the Ohio Valley and begins to work east. Showers will be widely scattered for much of the day Saturday, but will become numerous by middle-to-late evening. Heavy downpours are a good bet for much of the night saturday night with any individual shower that passes through. Additionally, there is a good shot at a thunderstorm.

NOAA PRECIP CHANCES rise sharply by Saturday evening:

Much improved conditions will build in, so that Sunday's cloudy start turns increasingly sunny throughout the day. And after being muggy for Saturday, humidity values will drop to very comfortable levels from Sunday through mid-week.

Intellicast temps:

Fair weather looks to dominate through at least Wednesday, with gradually warming temps to near-normal levels for daytime highs (near 80). Some outlying areas look to experience temps for nigh-time lows in the upper 40s/lower 50s, especially Monday night.

Winds may be somewhat breezy at times from Sunday through Monday, as very distant Hurricane Leslie makes her closest approach and high pressure builds over the area.

Swimming is not advised at ocean-facing beaches through Tuesday:
