HIGHLIGHTS FOR THE FIRST WEEK OF APRIL

1. After today's warm, sunny day, skies will cloud over towards Wednesday morning. A weak front will cross the area tomorrow afternoon with only a slight chance of light rain in early afternoon. Skies clear tomorrow night.
2. A few showers are possible on Thursday and Thursday night, especially west of NYC. The front the crosses our region Wednesday remains to our south during this time, but close enough to warrant a risk for showers. Mild Thursday; high clouds mixed with sun.

3. Next chance of significant, widespread rainfall for the entire area looks to arrive Friday afternoon into early Saturday morning before clearing. Amounts may reach 1/2-1 inch. A few thunderstorms possible as well. Temps on Friday will take a chilly dive back into the 40s. Raw and windy conditions Friday

4. Saturday through Monday looks mainly dry and spring-like. A major storm should develop next week and make its closest approach to our region by Tuesday or Wednesday. Potential for heavy rain during this time frame. Bears close watch.
