AS WE HEAD FOR AUGUST, HEAT RELENTS FURTHER...

1. back from travel. Posts and videos to resume as normal

2. Precip the last seven days has been less than an inch most places, with some exceptions denoted in yellow.

2. Heavy rain/thunderstorm threat develops area wide Sunday, but emphasis will be to the north and west of town. Bulk of activity will be late day into evening, before tapering off late. Plenty of cloud cover through Monday morning as the front and southerly flow usher in lots of moisture.

3. Next concern will be a bout of potential rainfall Thursday, but confidence in overall storm track appears low. Overall, an even cooler week than last week appears likely, with no significant heat in the offing through at least the fifth and possibly beyond.  Thursday's highs could fall well short of projections if rain does materialize.

  1. Welcome back. Any projections that do not include 90+ are welcome!
